May Steak Club | Bavarian Simmental & Miguel Vergara Black Angus

This month we've prepared some excellent European beef for you. We have chosen two great breeds and we're happy to offer these to you right in time for the upcoming Late May Bank Holiday!

Let's begin with our Simmental.

Originating in Bavaria, this beef is a classic example of Southern German farming.
Raised on lush alpine-herb pastures, Bavarian Simmental develops a deep red colour, fine intramuscular marbling and punchy beefy aromas you’ll only find in mature, well looked after cattle. Our Simmental is slow grown over several years to develop beautifully yellow fat and maximum flavour, then patiently aged for up to 50 days.

Sounds great, right? It tastes even better.

Next, we hand selected a stonking Black Angus Miguel Vergara Bone In Rib. This premium Spanish beef comes from specialised farms between Salamanca and León, where the cattle are raised on a carefully managed 300 day grain fed diet. The result is incredible marbling, a clean rich flavour and tenderness that’s earned multiple Great Taste Awards.

Don’t even get me started on the texture. Proper melt in your mouth stuff.
